Middle / Long Distance Events

Mostly held in the countryside, middle or long distance orienteering events require competitors’ careful and precise navigation in the natural landscape, e.g. forest or open grassland. The estimated winning time of the race ranges from 30 mins to 90 mins (depending on the class and the distance). The technical (middle distance event) or the physical (long distance event) requirement may pose challenges to the competitors.
